£34,205 - £36,006 per year
Working Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm
About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Trade Operative to join our Reactive Maintenance team, based in Glasgow. The role will occasionally involve lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as needed.
With a company van and tools included, the role will cover sites across the Central and West Scotland area.
Responsibilities
The role of Trade Operative will include:
- Carrying out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking when required
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or setting in motion their resolution, ensuring customers are informed
- Providing accurate, timely, and clearly understood updates on the progress of works to customers

Requirements & Skills
Candidates must be qualified to:
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in a core subject (e.g., joining)
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is required
- G3 Unvented Certificate (if applicable)
- Water Regulations (WRAS), or currently be working towards these qualifications
As part of the interview process, candidates must bring original proof of qualifications—the company will not accept certifications like CSCS cards.
Required skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Risk of regular road travel—requires a full, valid manual UK driving licence
