Overview

We're looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Trade Planning Manager to shape and deliver our omnichannel trading plan.

This is a high-impact role that combines hands-on trading expertise with strong people leadership. You will lead, develop and inspire a team while ensuring the delivery of a robust, accurate and well-governed trade plan that supports business objectives.

Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure trade activity is effectively planned, executed and reviewed. You will play a key role in aligning commercial and category priorities, delivering compelling customer-led campaigns, driving operational simplicity and achieving strong financial performance.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent planning and stakeholder management skills, alongside the ability to translate commercial objectives into actionable trading plans that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and delivery of a complex, omnichannel trade plan that drives both customer engagement and commercial performance.
  • Translate customer priorities into clear, timely commercial briefs aligned with planning cycles.
  • Own the end-to-end planning process, ensuring plans are robust, engaging, and effectively communicated for sign-off.
  • Establish and maintain efficient governance and processes, ensuring delivery to critical path timelines.
  • Continuously review promotional performance, using insights to refine and optimise future plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and ways of working.

Who You’ll Work With

  • Partner cross-functionally with Trading, Digital, Supply Chain, Pricing, Marketing, Rewards, and Retail Media.
  • Collaborate with Trading teams to align promotions with category strategies.
  • Work closely with Marketing to leverage customer insights and deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Engage Finance and performance analysts to shape plans and deliver against financial targets.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure seamless in-store and digital execution.
  • Partner with Pricing to ensure competitive, compliant, and efficient promotional activity.

Required skills & experience

About You

You’re a strong collaborator with a passion for delivering results. You bring strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer-first thinking. Trade planning experience is preferred but not essential
