Job Title: Sales Assistant
Battle Systems is looking for an enthusiastic sales assistant to work with our retail and distribution partners, bringing our great games and terrain to tables around the world. You will help stores grow their sales and support our team in developing and promoting our growing range.
Prior sales experience is not required. The role would be ideal for someone with previous office admin experience looking to develop into a sales role.
You will work with our sales manager to process orders, liaise with fulfilment partners, and keep customers informed about our latest products, while also proactively searching for new sales opportunities.
Battle Systems is a small business, but we’re growing fast and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with our existing stockists and manage their accounts, including offering advice on how to promote and sell our range
- Reach out to and build relationships with new customers to expand our distribution network
- Maintain regular contact with new and existing customers via email and telephone
- Process orders and handle shipping queries
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service
- Maintain the retail range, ensuring that the latest order forms, product information, photos and other sales assets are always available to our customers
- Work with our marketing and design team to produce regular communications to be sent via our email newsletter and other channels
- Maintain a program of demo games and events to promote the range and encourage in-store play
- Attend events and conventions as part of the Battle Systems team
- Feed back to the team to help improve our products and processes for retail
- Produce regular reports to demonstrate progress
- Stay up to date with the industry to identify and understand cross-selling opportunities

About You
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have an enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills
- Be confident and outgoing, able to communicate clearly with customers by phone, video call and email
- Have prior admin experience with exceptional attention to detail
- Manage their time effectively, maintaining a detailed schedule of contacts and follow-ups while completing other larger tasks
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office or similar business software. Experience with Excel in particular will be helpful – further training and support will be given as required
- Be eager to work in a growing business and influence our future prospects
- Have a good basic level of maths and English
- A knowledge of the tabletop gaming market is a strong bonus! (experience as a consumer is sufficient).
Location and Working Requirements
This is a full-time role based primarily in our office in Redditch, UK where you will collaborate with the team and be hands-on with our products. There may occasionally be an option to work from home part-time depending on business circumstances and individual performance.

We expect you to work 37.5 hours per week, 9-5 Monday to Friday, although this may vary slightly depending on workload. There will be occasions where you may work different hours to accommodate communication with clients in different time zones. From time to time you will be required to work weekends to attend conventions and other events, and you will be given time off in lieu.
The start date for this role is 01/09/2026, although we may be able to accommodate an earlier start.
Remuneration
The base salary for this role is £25,000 – £32,000 p.a. depending on skills and experience. We offer 25 days’ paid holiday (plus bank holidays) and a NEST pension scheme. There will be opportunities for pay increases and discretionary bonuses each year depending on your contribution to the business and the economic climate. You will of course also receive a generous staff discount on all Battle Systems products.
