Trade Supervisor - Electrical

Trade Supervisor – Electrical – Lead High-Quality Repairs and Support Our Frontline Teams
Are you an experienced electrical professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service? As a Trade Supervisor – Electrical at Peabody, you’ll support the smooth delivery of our responsive repairs service across a wide geographical area. You’ll lead operatives, drive first-time-fix performance and ensure all electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where your technical expertise, organisation and customer-focused approach will help improve service delivery for residents while supporting and developing frontline teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support operatives to deliver safe, high-quality electrical repairs and maintenance services
- Drive first-time-fix performance through effective planning, resource management and materials control
- Review incoming and completed works daily, providing technical oversight and guidance
- Ensure all repairs are completed in line with current regulations, Health & Safety requirements and company standards
- Update PDA devices and systems with job progress, schedules, images and relevant information
- Work with managers and operatives to set targets, KPIs and continuous improvement plans
- Support complaint investigations and implement lessons learned to improve customer outcomes
- Work closely with planners, contractors and supply-chain partners to maximise service performance
- Carry out desktop post-inspections and quality reviews of completed work
- Promote a positive culture of customer service, compliance, safety and teamwork

What You’ll Need
- Electrical City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent trade qualification (or relevant experience with strong references)
- SSSTS or IOSH qualification
- Asbestos Awareness training
- Experience working within a domestic repairs and maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of electrical repairs, maintenance and compliance requirements
- Experience supervising or supporting frontline operatives
- Knowledge of Schedule of Rates and responsive repairs operations
- Experience managing van stock and materials efficiently
- Strong IT skills, including the use of PDA/mobile working technology
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of the London area
- Full UK driving licence

This role involves supervising electrical repairs and maintenance activities across a busy responsive repairs service. You’ll be expected to support operational teams, monitor quality, drive performance and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
Occasional evening and weekend working may be required to support service delivery.
