Working at Wintermute

We are looking for a Trading Analyst in London with good Python coding skills and a curiosity about HFT, market making and crypto trading. You will be working closely with the traders on the trading floor to expand and improve trading activities across multiple markets and strategies. You will learn from them and be at the centre of the action, from supporting trading to liaising with developers while keeping in mind automation/scalability and supporting the middle office team in improving trade settlement and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to traders during ad-hoc market events. Support in troubleshooting and debugging live trading systems, detecting and addressing any system errors. Developing and generating new reports, analysis and GUI tools which can be used by traders to improve strategies. Design and maintain data visualizations that deliver insights and actionable market information for traders. Architect and manage service deployments to ensure the trading environment operates reliably and within defined performance thresholds. Conduct trade reconciliation, ensuring the accuracy of trade economics and settlement agreements.

Hard Skills Requirements

Good Python skills - you have experience coding in Python, be that through work, study or personal project experience - we will test! Though we are seeking talented graduates, we are still open to experienced individuals coming from analytical roles or software development. Good quantitative and analytical skills. Trading knowledge isn’t required for this role but a strong willingness and curiosity to learn algorithmic, high-frequency, quantitative and market making trading is crucial. An understanding of DeFi and Blockchain would be a valuable bonus in this role.
