Trading Assistant
Working in our stores
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality, and great service. As one of our Trading Assistants, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our stores are always set up perfectly to meet our customers' needs.
Eligibility
- You must be above the school-leaving age in your country (School leaving age - GOV.UK)
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
- If shifts cover:
- Hours before 6am
- Hours after 11pm
- You will need to be at least 18 years of age
What you’ll be doing
- Collect stock from the warehouse (using heavy roll cages, up to 15KG) and replenish items across the store, maintaining tidy, well-presented shelves
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and proactively assisting shoppers
- Build strong product knowledge to recommend items effectively
- Date-check fresh produce and grocery products to ensure waste-free storage
- Assist across the store as needed, including support for deliveries and operational tasks
