Trading Assistant - Local
Store Colleague (Team Member) – Part-time/Full-time
About the Role
As a Sainsbury’s Store Colleague, you’ll play a critical role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience. This role covers multiple responsibilities to ensure the store is always ready, clean, and ready to serve our customers efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small team to maintain a convenient, speedy, and high-quality shopping experience.
- Replenish shelves using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to transport stock from the warehouse.
- Assist checkouts, support with deliveries, and maintain a clean, well-presented, and tidy store environment.
- Pick and select high-quality products on the shop floor for our On-demand grocery ordering service.
- Assist customers with Click & Collect parcels and proactively offer help.
- Date-check fresh produce and grocery products to ensure food safety.
- Build strong product and service knowledge to provide personalised recommendations to customers.
- Be customer-facing at all times, answering questions and offering assistance with enthusiasm.
