Trading Assistant - Local
Trading Assistant – Working in Our Stores
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing Outstanding value, quality, and exceptional service. As a Trading Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our stores are flawless, so customers receive the best shopping experience.
Eligibility
To apply for this role:
- Must be 18+ years old (due to working hours and requirements around handling goods such as alcohol and tobacco).
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
Role Overview
You’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for:
- Ensuring the entire store is customer-ready for a seamless shopping experience
- Stocking shelves using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg)
- Operating checkouts, supporting deliveries, and maintaining a clean, tidy premises
- Managing click & collect parcels and on-demand grocery service orders
- Providing proactive customer service, answering queries, and making product recommendations
- Fresh produce and grocery date checking
