Trading Assistant - Local

Customer Service Team Member (Store Colleague) – Sainsbury’s

About the Role

As part of a small, energetic team, you will play a vital role in ensuring every aspect of the store is ready for customers, delivering a speedy, convenient, and excellent shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working across multiple store functions, including:
    • Store replenishment – Collecting stock from warehouses using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish shelves efficiently.
    • Customer service – Assisting at checkout desks, supporting with deliveries, and maintaining the store’s presentation while keeping it clean and tidy.
    • On-demand grocery ordering – Picking and selecting high-quality products on the shop floor to fulfil Click & Collect and on-demand orders.
    • Customer engagement – Providing friendly, proactive assistance, answering questions, and making product recommendations.
    • Fresh produce handling – Checking dates on grocery and fresh items to ensure quality standards.
