Trading Assistant – Working in Our Stores

About the Role

Our stores are dynamic environments filled with energy and community spirit. Near the heart of the local community, they deliver outstanding value, quality, and service that keep customers coming back. As a Trading Assistant, you’ll bring your dedication to ensure stock is perfectly arranged, customers are served efficiently, and the store remains welcoming and clean.

Eligibility

  • The role requires a minimum application age of 18, due to the working hours and nature of goods (including alcohol and tobacco) that may need handling.
  • Candidates must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work collaboratively with a small team to ensure a seamless, convenient, and convenient shopping experience for customers.
  • Replenish shelves using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG), collect stock from warehouses, and assist with daily service operations.
  • Serve customers at checkouts, support with deliveries, and maintain a well-presented, clean, and organised store.
  • Pick and select the best quality products for on-demand grocery orders and Click & Collect parcels, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent service, answering customer questions and offering proactive assistance.
  • Build expertise in products, services, and promotions to provide helpful recommendations and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Conduct date checks on fresh produce and groceries.
