Trading Assistant – Working in Our Stores
About the Role
Our stores are dynamic environments filled with energy and community spirit. As a Trading Assistant, you’ll bring your dedication to ensure stock is perfectly arranged, customers are served efficiently, and the store remains welcoming and clean.
Eligibility
- The role requires a minimum application age of 18, due to the working hours and nature of goods (including alcohol and tobacco) that may need handling.
- Candidates must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work collaboratively with a small team to ensure a seamless, convenient, and convenient shopping experience for customers.
- Replenish shelves using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG), collect stock from warehouses, and assist with daily service operations.
- Serve customers at checkouts, support with deliveries, and maintain a well-presented, clean, and organised store.
- Pick and select the best quality products for on-demand grocery orders and Click & Collect parcels, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide excellent service, answering customer questions and offering proactive assistance.
- Build expertise in products, services, and promotions to provide helpful recommendations and enhance the shopping experience.
- Conduct date checks on fresh produce and groceries.
