Trading Assistant – Sainsbury’s Stores
About the Role
Working in our stores is an exciting experience in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Our stores are the heart of the local community, delivering outstanding value, quality, and customer service.
As a Trading Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our stores are always exceptional, fulfilling our promise to customers.
Eligibility
→ Minimum application age: 18+ (due to working hours and handling goods such as alcohol) → Must be eligible to work in the UK
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks include:
- Stock replenishment using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) across the store, keeping shelves tidy and well-stocked
- Providing excellent customer service—assisting with queries, offering recommendations, and enhancing the shopping experience
- Date-checking fresh produce and grocery products
- Supporting deliveries and assisting across the store as needed
- Building strong knowledge of our products, services, and promotions
