Trading Assistant – Working in Our Stores
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality, and service. As a Trading Assistant, you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures our stores are set up brilliantly to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury’s for.
Eligibility
To apply for this role, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (due to working hours and potentially handling alcohol).
- Hold Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock management: Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) and replenish items across the store, keeping shelves clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Customer service: Actively support customers with questions, proactively offer assistance, and enhance their shopping experience.
- Fresh produce inspection: Date-check perishable items like fresh produce and grocery products.
- Versatile support: Assist across various store functions, including handling deliveries when needed.
- Product expertise: Build strong knowledge of products, services, and promotions to provide tailored recommendations.
