As a Trading Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our stores run efficiently and customers receive the best experience, acting as that special “ingredient” that makes a difference.
Eligibility
To apply for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be 18 years or older, due to the nature of tasks (including handling alcohol) and overnight working hours.
- Possess Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks to keep our store running smoothly:
- Stock management: Collect stock using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish shelves with a variety of products, ensuring shelves remain clean, tidy, and visually appealing.
- Customer service: Deliver friendly, professional support to customers, answering questions and assisting proactively during store opening hours.
- Product freshness: Undertake date checking for fresh produce and grocery items to maintain quality standards.
- Cross-store assistance: Provide flexibility and support across the entire store, including handling deliveries as needed.
- Product knowledge: Build strong awareness of Sainsbury’s products, promotions, and services to offer helpful recommendations to customers.
