Trading Assistant - Shift
Trading Assistant – Working in Our Stores
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality, and exceptional service.
As one of our Trading Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures our stores are set up brilliantly, delivering everything customers expect from Sainsbury’s.
Eligibility
- Must be at least 18 years old (due to working hours and potential need to handle items like alcohol)
- Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
Key Responsibilities
- Replenishing stock: Collect inventory from warehouses using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG), ensuring shelves are stocked with a wide range of items and presented attractively.
- Customer service: Assistance in serving customers, answering questions, and proactively offering support.
- Quality control: Dating and checking fresh produce and grocery items.
- Store support: Flexible involvement across the store, including assisting with deliveries.
- Product knowledge development: Building expertise in our products, services, and promotions to provide tailored recommendations.
