Trading Assistant - Shift
Working in Our Stores: Trading Assistant Role
Our stores are fast-paced environments where variety keeps each day exciting. We’re the heart of our communities, delivering outstanding value, quality, and great service. As a Trading Assistant, your role is crucial—you’ll ensure everything is set up perfectly so our customers can enjoy the best of Sainsbury’s.
Eligibility
- You must be aged 18 or above (due to working hours and handling certain items, like alcohol).
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock management: Collecting stock from the warehouse using roll cages (up to 15KG) and replenishing shelves with a variety of items, ensuring aisles are clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Customer service: Providing efficient, helpful, and proactive support to customers when the store is open, answering questions and assisting with their needs.
- Fresh produce checks: Datum checking fresh food and grocery products to maintain quality and freshness.
- Store support: Assisting across the store as needed and working with deliveries as required.
- Product knowledge: Building expertise on products, services, and promotions to offer thoughtful recommendations.
