About the Role
As a Sainsbury’s Colleague, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our stores while ensuring excellent service. This position involves stock management, customer assistance, and proactive support—especially in an overnight, fast-paced, and team-driven environment. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Key Responsibilities
- Stock replenishment: Collecting stock from the warehouse using roll cages (up to 15KG) to stock and present products neatly across the store
- Customer service: Supporting customers with efficiency, enthusiasm, and proactive assistance when the store is open
- Fresh product handling: Date checking grocery and perishables to ensure food safety
- Cross-store support: Assisting with deliveries, team tasks, and covering other areas as needed
- Product expertise: Developing knowledge of our products, promotions, and services to provide valuable recommendations to shoppers
