Trading Assistant – Store Team
About the Role
Our stores thrive on dynamic energy and community spirit, offering outstanding value, quality, and service. As a key Sainsbury’s Trading Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting the store up for success—ensuring every customer experience is exceptional.
Eligibility
- Applications accepted: From age 18+ (due to operational demands and alcohol handling).
- Must have valid UK Right to Work eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock management: Collect and replenish products using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg), keeping shelves clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Customer service: Actively engage with shoppers to:
- Answer questions
- Proactively assist and recommend products
- Product integrity: Perform date checks on fresh and grocery items.
- Cross-functional support: Assist across store operations, including deliveries.
- Product expertise: Build knowledge of our services, promotions, and offerings to enhance customer recommendations.
