Trading Assistant - Shift
Trading Assistant – Our Stores
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality, and great customer service. As one of our Trading Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures our stores are set up brilliantly to deliver everything customers come to Sainsbury’s for.
Eligibility
- The minimum application age for this role is 18, due to working hours and goods handled (e.g., alcohol).
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Stock management: Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) for replenishing a variety of products, keeping shelves clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Customer service: Proactively support customers, answering questions and providing assistance when the store is open.
- Fresh produce handling: Check dates for grocery products and fresh produce.
- Multitasking: Assist across the store as needed, including handling deliveries.
- Product knowledge: Develop expertise in our products, services, and promotions to offer recommendations.
