Trading Assistant – Sainsbury’s Stores

About the Role

As a Trading Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring stores are set up brilliantly—reinforcing that Sainsbury’s lives up to customers' expectations.


Eligibility

  • Minimum age: 18 (due to possible shifts and handling certain goods such as alcohol)
  • Right to Work: You must be eligible to work in the UK

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock handling: Collect stock from the warehouse (handling up to 15KG using heavy roll cages) and replenish shelves efficiently, maintaining a clean, tidy, presentable, stocked space
  • Customer service: Provide outstanding and proactive support to customers when needed, answering questions and assisting with their shopping experience
  • Fresh produce management: Date-check and organise grocery products
  • Cross-store assistance: Work across different store teams as required, including assisting with deliveries and loading/unloading where necessary
  • Develop product knowledge: Build expertise in Sainsbury’s products, services, and promotions to offer tailored recommendations
