As a Trading Manager, you won’t be stuck behind a desk. You’ll be the commercial driving force right out on the shop floor, ensuring your departments look spectacular and our customers feel right at home.
Reporting into the Store Manager, you’ll take full ownership of trade execution, commercial performance, and stock management across your designated areas. Your main objective is to ensure every aisle is beautifully presented and fully stocked, while coaching your team to deliver the friendly, helpful service that keeps our regulars coming back week after week.
What you'll be doing day-to-day:
- Leading with Passion: Inspiring, coaching, and developing a team of team leaders and colleagues.
- Driving Commercial Excellence: Maximising sales through striking visual merchandising, seasonal planning, and peak stock availability.
- Managing the Numbers: Taking full ownership of sales targets, waste, shrinkage, stock control, and labour budgets.
- Keeping it Safe: Maintaining strict legal compliance, trading standards, and health & safety.
- Putting Customers First: Being a visible, welcoming leader to ensure a clean, efficient shopping environment.

About You
You thrive in a fast-paced, high volume retail or commercial environment and understand how to run a profitable operation.
- Proven Leadership: Experience managing teams and bringing out the best in people.
- Commercial Mindset: Ability to read trade reports, manage stock rotation, and tightly control waste.
- Hands-on Attitude: You love the energy of the shop floor and leading by example during busy peaks.
- Brilliant Communicator: Skilled at building strong relationships with teams, leadership, and customers.
