At Virgin Atlantic Airways, we believe everyone can take on the world, and it’s our vision to become the most loved travel company. Within Virgin Atlantic Holidays, our Commercial teams play a critical role in translating strategy into performance -  balancing pricing agility, customer value and margin delivery to drive sustainable growth.

In a nutshell

As Trading Manager, you are the commercial owner of your region’s performance. You are accountable for delivering revenue and margin targets, setting the trading direction, and ensuring strategy is translated into decisive, margin-positive action.

You will define and evolve regional pricing and trading strategy, lead performance forums, and identify structural opportunities to improve results, not just respond to them. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will balance short-term performance optimisation with longer-term commercial priorities. You will bring structure, governance and disciplined performance management to your region, ensuring trading decisions are commercially robust and aligned to long-term growth ambition.

Working closely with your Trading Analyst, Product, Sales and Airline counterparts, you will set analytical priorities, provide clear commercial direction and approve trading recommendations to ensure every action drives measurable impact across the full booking curve.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
