The Role: Soccer Manager

This hands-on role sits at the core of soccer pricing, product, trading and analytics, blending strategy with execution. You will own the end-to-end pricing and trading strategy for pre-match and in-play betting markets on our cutting-edge platform, integrating AI-driven automation to scale operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the pricing strategy, ensuring competitiveness, margin, and sustainability across all soccer markets.
  • Develop and optimise in-house sports pricing models, field insights, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Trading Operations on line management, liability decisions, and live-play market-making, with a focus on large tournaments and high-value events.
  • Monitor and react to competitors, ensuring Fanatics remains dominant in major leagues (e.g., UK Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup).
  • Champion a world-class 24/7 soccer experience—product reliability, precision, and engagement—by leveraging AI tools for decision-making support.
  • Lead strategic key-moment execution, ensuring peak performance for marquee fixtures.
  • Drive evolving innovations in the customer-facing soccer experience, including personalisation, smarter betting products, and enhanced in-play engagement.
  • Manage third-party data vendors, prioritising cost-effective, reliable, and high-quality feed partnerships.
  • Guide and develop a team of 2-3 analysts, fostering creativity while maintaining efficiency during live-betting periods.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on integrating AI into our business workflow, helping automate repetitive tasks and transition resources toward high-impact initiatives.
  • Serve as the lead soccer synergy point across Trading, Risk, Product, and Commercial teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Hands-on experience with third-party data providers and appreciation for data infrastructure reliability.

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across Trading, Risk, and Product teams.
