JOB TITLE: Trading & Performance Assistant Manager Loans

SALARY: £40,824 - £45,360

LOCATION(S): Chester, Halifax, Leeds or Manchester

HOURS: Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What will I be doing?

  • Spot what’s changing - Use customer, market and channel insight to identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities, and help turn them into clear recommendations
  • Support ideas into action - Contribute to new propositions, partnerships and digital journey improvements by shaping analysis, options and clear supporting materials
  • Make decisions better - Use data, modelling and experimentation to support pricing, demand and performance decisions, helping to test assumptions and improve outcomes
  • Work with brilliant people - Collaborate across Product, Pricing, Risk, Finance and Digital, building trusted relationships and bringing together the right insight to support delivery
  • See your impact - Monitor performance, highlight opportunities and issues early, and support activity that delivers better outcomes for customers and the business

What we’re looking for?

  • Highly numerical and data-driven, with a good understanding of commercial performance, financial metrics and performance drivers. Able to see opportunities that align with customer needs and business goals
  • Curious and confident in challenging assumptions in the right way, with a desire to solve problems, learn quickly and find practical ways to deliver value
  • Experience using data analysis, customer analytics, forecasting, pricing or segmentation techniques, with the ability to use tools such as SQL, SAS, Power BI, Python or cloud-based data platforms to generate useful insight
  • Data insights and storytelling: able to translate complex information into clear, actionable insight for different audiences, supporting reporting and analytics that are user-centred, practical and aligned to business needs
  • Communication and influence: able to explain insight clearly, tailor messages for different customers and contribute confidently to discussions with senior audiences
  • Market awareness: awareness of the external environment, including customer trends, competitor activity and regulatory considerations, and how these may influence lending performance
