Trading Underwriter – Property, Casualty & Real Estate Investments
Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share, or full-time basis
Location: Croydon or Chelmsford, Hybrid

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Trading Underwriter to join our Southeast Mid-Market team. You will drive innovative and creative propositions tailored to our customers' needs, delivering service excellence that sets us apart from our competitors.
As a Trading Underwriter, you’ll analyse and underwrite existing business across Property & Casualty and Real Estate Investments (REI). Key to the role is your ability to communicate effectively with distribution partners and build strong relationships, ensuring our offerings resonate with clients.
Support and training will be provided in technical aspects from day one, empowering you to thrive within our collaborative team.

- Analyse and underwrite existing business, including renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Develop innovative, customer-centric propositions

- Communicate daily with brokers and intermediaries
- Identify process improvements for efficiency

Skills and Experience Required
- Will to learn, develop, and collaborate in a team
- (Bonus—though not mandatory) Underwriting experience in: Property & Casualty and Real Estate Investments (REI). Transferable skills will also be considered.
- Passion, drive, and determination
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make well-judged data-driven decisions
- Attentive with a detail-oriented eye
- Proficiency in adapting to workloads under pressure
- Excellent organisation & prioritisation skills to manage competing demands
