Job Title: Traffic Clerk, Clerical Officer, Grade 4
Location: Dock Gate 20, Southampton
Position Type: Permanent, full-time. Hours of work: 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts including weekends, on a rotating schedule from Sunday to Saturday.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Plan and create all movement instructions for containers.
- Manage all internal container year movements within the terminal.
- Plan overhead crane and reach-stacker lifts in the most effective and productive manner ensuring all loading standards are adhered to.
- Monitor export ship catcher’s as per local procedures.
- Monitor export arrivals and for Dangerous Goods notes.
- Perform radio communications in a professional manner.
- Deal with all queries, external, internal and by email.
- Carry out all other clerical duties commensurate with this role.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a team and undergo comprehensive training in all activities to achieve the competencies required for this exciting role.
Key Requirements
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have a flexible approach, with a can-do attitude.
- A previous background in working within an office.
- Be health and safety conscious.
Successful applicants will be subject to a pre-employment medical, which will include a Drugs and Alcohol screening and will need to provide a satisfactory DBS check.
