Reporting to the Project Manager
The Traffic Installation Technician will install traffic signals, including the installation of ancillary equipment and highways systems across the West Midlands region.
What you’ll do:
- Install traffic signal systems and associated equipment in line with project specifications and industry standards
- Produce accurate cable schematics and wiring diagrams tailored to customer requirements
- Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of traffic signal equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Install and joint cables safely and efficiently in accordance with technical guidelines
- Carry out precise cable terminations at top caps and basic controllers to agreed specifications
- Complete on-site risk assessments and adhere strictly to approved method statements
- Maintain all test equipment, PPE, and company vehicles in full compliance with current certification and safety regulations
- Ensure all installations meet required quality standards, delivering accuracy and attention to detail at every stage

Who you are:
You are an experienced Traffic or Electrical Installation Engineer with a strong background in installing, wiring, and testing electrical equipment. You have hands-on experience working with cable installations and on-site commissioning, ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards.
Key Requirements:
- Basic electrical knowledge or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
- Experience gained within Traffic installation is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Time management and ability to meet project deadlines
- Full UK driving license
- Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test prior to commencing work
