The Role
As a Traffic Management CAD Technician, you will produce high-quality, risk-assessed CAD drawings in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all outputs meet current legislation as well as specific client requirements. The role involves:
- Preparing traffic management CAD drawings across a wide range of scenarios, including diverse projects, varied road types, and multiple locations.
- An approach requiring adaptability and strong attention to detail, while maintaining consistently high standards in compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.

Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, risk-assessed CAD drawings compliant with current legislation, industry standards, and client-specific requirements
- Maintain and manage the CAD register, ensuring all activities and outputs are accurately recorded for invoicing and audit support
- Ensure all drawings are completed and submitted within agreed timescales, meeting client SLAs
- Attend tender and project meetings to clarify project scope, requirements, and constraints
- Produce clear and accurate sketches for tender submissions and project planning
- Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team, addressing client queries as necessary
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including administration and operations, to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain precision and accuracy across all drawings with strong attention to detail

Technical Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar CAD or Traffic Management role, preferably within civil engineering or highways
- Proficient in Cone 11 Software
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practice relating to Traffic Management
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and deliver accurate outputs
Qualifications & Training
- GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4-9
- Sector Scheme 12D M7 qualification (or commitment to obtain)
- Full UK driving licence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
