Traffic Management - IPV Trainee

Role: Traffic Management – Trainee IPV Operative

Location: Thatcham, RG19 4NT

Your Role as Trainee IPV Operative

Key Duties:

  • Drive IPV vehicles
  • Conduct traffic counts
  • Handle internal and external communications (clients, subcontractors)
  • Monitor timings & act upon near-miss incidents
  • Obtain high-speed driver qualifications
  • Maintain safety protocols under pressure

Requirements

Essential:

  • Licence: HGV Class 2/Category C (valid UK driver)
  • Driving record: Full licence, no more than 6 points; no recent bans (if expired, >5 years)
  • Regulatory knowledge: Experience with Chapter 8 standards (essential)
  • Health & safety: Pass drug & alcohol screening (mandatory pre-hire)
  • Attitude:
    • Positive, adaptive, and meticulous in high-pressure environments
    • Completely shift-flexible (permanent nights/weekends)
  • Employment status: Right to work in the UK, not sponsored
