Traffic Management Operative (Dorset)

Location: Dorset Employer: Circet UK (part of the largest telecommunications company in Europe)

About the Role

Circet UK are seeking a Traffic Management Operative to join their team. Reporting to the Operation Manager, this role involves the installation, maintenance, and removal of all site-based traffic management activities, working closely with Circet Traffic Management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Adequately competently install, maintain, and remove complex traffic management (TM) schemes across rural and urban roads.
  • Attend site meetings with clients, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Accurately follow complex TM CAD drawings.
  • Survey and design traffic management schemes to contribute to TM plans, considering risks, traffic counts, and associated considerations.
  • Subordinate to excellent timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Proactive adherence to Health & Safety compliance protocols.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Prior experience in traffic management environments strongly preferred.
  • Temporary traffic management qualification (Sector Scheme 12D preferred; training provided if required).
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility for weekend, overtime (enhanced rates), and part-time/short-notice shifts.
  • Good technical knowledge of online-based systems (e.g., CAD software).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-turnaround environment.
  • Open availability for scheduling changes.
