Traffic Management Operative – Trainee
Location
Stanton Harcourt – OX29 5UX, Witney (Within travelling distance from Reading, Swindon, Oxford, Chippenham, Devizes, Cirencester, Bicester, Banbury)
Hours
48 paid hours per week, plus overtime opportunities

The Role
This position involves operating near moving traffic with strict safety procedures that must be followed at all times. It is a physically demanding role requiring:
- Full concentration and awareness
- Strong teamwork
- A disciplined, safety-first mindset

What You’ll Be Doing
As part of a dynamic team, you’ll:
- Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management
- Set up cones, signs, barriers, and safety equipment
- Ensure roadworkers and the public remain safe
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and control teams
- Work towards achieving fully funded 12D qualifications* (as part of your development)

What We’re Looking For
No Traffic Management experience required—instead, we seek the right mindset and foundational skills.
Key Requirements
You’ll need:
- A strong work ethic and reliability
- Confidence in working nights and outdoors in all weather
- Experience in team-based, safety-focused environments
- Good awareness, attention to detail, and adherence to processes
Essential Requirements
✔ Full UK valid driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points) ✔ Willingness to work night shifts ✔ Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship needed) ✔ Good physical fitness and ability to meet job demands
