We are looking for a reliable and assertive traffic marshall to join a busy new build housing site in Skelmanthorpe. This is a brilliant long-term, ongoing contract role that will see you through until the site's final completion.

As the first point of contact at the site entrance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of delivery drivers, on-site trades, and the local public by managing all vehicle movements.

The Role

  • Controlling the main site gates and safely directing all incoming and outgoing construction traffic (wagons, muck-aways, delivery vehicles).
  • Banking trucks and heavy plant machinery safely into tight spaces and onto the highway.
  • Checking in all site visitors and delivery drivers, ensuring they are wearing correct PPE.
  • Maintaining a clean and clear site entrance/roadway to prevent disruption to the local community.
  • Working closely with the Site Manager to coordinate scheduled deliveries.
  • Upholding strict health and safety standards at the site boundary.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
