The Traffic Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Felixstowe, responsible for planning and coordinating daily container transport operations. The role involves scheduling vehicle movements, allocating work to drivers, and managing routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery and collection of containers. The Traffic Planner monitors live traffic conditions, port operations, and customer requirements, adjusting plans as needed to minimize delays and optimize fleet utilization.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Transportation Planning and Traffic Management for coordinating vehicle movements and optimizing routes.
- Previous experience in road transport, container haulage, or logistics planning, ideally within the UK market.
- Proficiency with transport management systems, previous use of Truckcom a bonus.
- Effective communication skills for working with drivers, customers, and stakeholders, and clear written documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under time pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Felixstowe and collaborate as part of a diverse operations team.
