Location: Swindon
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6.00am to 4.00pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch break
- Every third Saturday: 8.00am to 12noon
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for a Trailer & Car Transport Specialist to join our client in their Swindon depot.
The Candidate Must Have:
- Safely transport cars, vans, trailers, and other vehicles to customer locations, workshops, auctions, and designated sites.
- Load, secure, and unload vehicles using approved equipment and methods.
- Conduct pre-use and post-use inspections of transport vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly and comply with legal requirements before travel.
- Complete vehicle condition reports and obtain customer signatures where required.
- Maintain accurate transport records, delivery documentation, and job updates.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet collection and delivery schedules.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding collection and delivery arrangements.
- Report vehicle damage, defects, incidents, or delays promptly to management.
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of trailers, transport equipment, and company vehicles.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures, road traffic regulations, and transport compliance requirements.
- Assist with depot operations and vehicle movements as required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of company vehicles and equipment.
- Represent the company in a professional manner, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
- Support colleagues and other departments to ensure efficient depot operations and customer satisfaction.
