Your future role
As a Train Validation Engineer, you'll play a key role in managing the validation schedule, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of train validation processes, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality transportation solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including design, manufacturing, and testing teams), define and lead the readiness of functional test means and early functional validation as part of the project validation strategy, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Managing the Train level validation activities (on Trainlab and on Train), creating and maintaining the Validation Plan
- Responsibility for delivery of Train Validation commitments on bid or project
- Responsible for the budget management for the Train Validation scope on bid or project
- Leading governances at project level and technical core team to secure validation scope
- Organise technical interfaces with customers, and produce customer documents to obtain necessary approvals
- Reviewing part of the Sub-System Validation Plan relevant to test exported at Train level
- Approving and reviewing Train Test Procedures / reports, test execution and defect logging
- Preparing the test campaign with right first-time approach securing the maturity, the configuration and prerequisites
- Managing all inputs and logistics to ensure effective execution of all validation activities

- Experience in team and project management: multi-metiers or multi-sites team and project, including Customer and external stakeholders Technical Management
- Experience or understanding of validation processes, project scheduling, and train design.
- Train system knowledge is required
- Knowledge of configuration management and testing methodologies
- Knowledge of Standards & Regulation would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Work Package Management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
