Trainee Administrator – Investor Services AML at [Company Name]
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the growth of our business. The role sits within the Investor Services AML Department, offering a dynamic position assisting the team with AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) matters across a multi-jurisdictional business. As a Trainee Administrator, your focus will primarily be on:
- Client and investor due diligence
- Ongoing monitoring processes
- Sanctions screening
- Periodic AML/KYC (Know Your Customer) refreshes
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond proactively to incoming client and investor requests.
- Ensure timely review of KYC files as per internal policies and procedures, including setup, maintenance, and reference data.
- Proactively review and monitor AML/KYC documentation received from clients and investors.
- Maintain accurate Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) files in the database.
- Prepare internal/outside management reports, tracking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Utilise AML sanction tools, performing name-matching and monitoring checks against financial sanctions lists, PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons), and adverse media alerts, ensuring timely treatment of discrepancies.
- Escalate urgent/sensitive matters promptly to management.
- Support internal and external audit reviews.

Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree (or equivalent professional experience in AML/CFT), though direct experience is also highly valued.
- Full native/near-native fluency in English (brPearse brushes with other languages will be an asset).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster a positive, collaborative work environment, especially within a distributed operating model.
- A client-focused mindset, ensuring strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and timelines. A “can-do” attitude, combined with organisation and flexibility, is critical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
