Trainee Administrator – AML/CFT

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our team, further developing our business within the Investor Services AML Department. As a Trainee Administrator, you will assist the team in AML/CFT matters to support our multi-jurisdictional business, focusing primarily on:

  • Client and investor due diligence
  • Ongoing monitoring processes (including sanctions screening and periodic AML/KYC refresh)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor incoming client and investor requests and respond proactively
  • Ensure accurate, timely reviews of client and investor KYC files in line with internal policy and procedure, including:
    • Setup & maintenance of reference data
  • Proactively review AML-KYC documentation received
  • Ensure proper saving and filing of documents while maintaining:
    • Up-to-date Client Due Diligence (CDD)
    • Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) files in the appropriate database
  • Prepare internal and external management reporting and KPIs
  • Utilise AML sanction tools to:
    • Review name matching
    • Monitor targeted financial sanctions lists, PEPs and adverse media checks
    • Address alerts in a timely manner
  • Escalate urgent/sensitive matters promptly to management
  • Support internal and external audit reviews

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree or previous relevant experience in an AML/CFT role
  • Full fluency in English (other languages an asset)

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, contributing to a positive, friendly work environment
  • Client-oriented mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships (internal/external)
  • Self-direction – taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities while delivering high-quality work on time
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with a "can-do" attitude
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks, escalating when necessary
  • Adaptability – thriving in a fast-moving environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

Location: Southampton office
