Job Title: Trainee Artificial Sports Pitch, Performance Tester
Location: Leicester
Salary: £27,040 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Role
Technical Surfaces currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Artificial Sports Pitch, Performance Tester to undertake indicative performance pitch testing of facilities throughout the UK to service predominantly existing customers with an element of new business.
The purpose of the role is to support the performance side of the business.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Carrying out indicative pitch performance testing of synthetic facilities across the UK.
- Attending approx. 2 sites per day, assumed Monday to Thursday but subject to variation.
- Includes regular nights away from home. Hotels and expenses covered by the company (details tbc).
- Handling of client questions by making yourself aware of all services and products provided by the company.
- Liaise with the Technical Managers to ensure that they have all of the relevant information / feedback to ensure that the contract can be delivered effectively.
- Production of app-based reports / assessments.
- One day office-based handing over to Line Manager and prepping for the following weeks inspections, assumed a Friday.

Requirements
- Develop a knowledge of synthetic sports facilities, their performance and ongoing maintenance requirements.
- Key Skills and Experience - What we are looking for:
- Good communication skills and personable.
- Organised.
- Well presented.
- Motivated to achieve great customer service.
- Analytical with an attention to detail.
- A full UK drivers' licence.
- Be located in the Leicestershire area.
- Have good time keeping.
- Enthusiastic to learn.
- Able to stay away multiple nights per week.
- Happy to work long, unpredictable days on the road. Includes early starts and or late finishes.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Have previous experience in using an app-based CRM system or be comfortable with using computer-based systems / apps.

No official qualifications or experience are required, but an interest / background in sport is preferable.
Benefits:
- Basic Pay: £27,040
- Fully maintained Vehicle.
- Fuel card (private mileage is not included and is deducted from wage on a monthly basis).

- Expenses package included (details tbc).
- Holiday entitlement 20 days + Bank Holidays. An additional holiday day is accrued for every two years complete service, up-to a maximum of 25 days.
