Trainee Assistant Project Manager – Basildon, Essex
Success Recruit are currently working with a growing and dynamic construction and property development business looking to recruit a Trainee Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Basildon, Essex.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to start or advance their career in project management, supported by hands-on training, mentorship, and long-term progression. The role involves close collaboration with the Project Director, helping to coordinate and deliver commercial and residential projects across Essex.
Responsibilities
Key Duties Include:
- Assisting in the delivery of multiple projects, including refurbishments, extensions, and new build developments
- Supporting project planning, coordination, and execution
- Updating internal systems and project databases with accurate information
- Attending board meetings and contributing to action reviews
- Supporting risk assessments, contract administration, and project scheduling
- Building strong relationships with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
- Assisting with project costings, budget management, and supplier coordination
- Traveling across Essex site locations (full driving license required)

Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualities:
✔ Strong interest in a construction project management career ✔ Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal) ✔ Technical IT skills, particularly with Microsoft SharePoint; knowledge of CAD/CAM preferred
✔ Willingness to travel for site visits (full driving license mandatory)

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (some flexibility required)
