Job Description: Trainee Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers

Do you want to help the nation hear and see better? Well, as an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You can train to completion with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), and then eventually have the chance to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. As a Trainee Audiology Practitioner, you will be an integral member of the team and the first point of contact for our customers. Once you have completed the relevant training, you will be able to perform clinical activities along the customer pathway. Your first part of the course will be Wax Removal using microsuction techniques.

Our Store

This role is based in the St Ives store with cover required for the Cambridge store too, so being able to drive and having access to a car is required. The business operates 5 days a week at the moment but will be working weekends soon, so please ensure you are happy to do this before applying.

What’s on Offer?

  • Rate of Pay: NMW plus 20 pph per annum
  • Working Hours: Full Time 40 hrs a week, 9am to 5.30pm - Monday through to Sunday
  • Benefits:
    • 25 days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays plus your Birthday day off
    • Usual GPTW benefits including money off major retailers

Requirements

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enroll on this program, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here:

  • Good written and verbal English skills
  • Keen interest in self-development
  • Desire to further your skills
  • Fluency in the use of patient management systems (not mandatory)
