Trainee Bus Driver
Bus Driver Apprentice – PCV Training Programme
£19.06 p/h (with valid PCV licence) or £15.63 p/h (after 9 months service & training with rate progression to £17.70 p/h on Saturdays & Sundays, £13.37 p/h in training)

About the Role
At Stagecoach, we don’t just offer jobs—we offer careers. Join our friendly, safety-focused team at Queens Road Garage (Manchester) as a Bus Driver Apprentice.
Earn while you learn—we’ll fully fund your PCV licence training and provide a Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship with ongoing professional development. After training (6–8 weeks), you’ll earn £35,000 annually (based on 38 hours/week), including Saturday & Sunday premium rates.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete Stagecoach’s industry-leading PCV training (leading to a fully funded Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship)
- Operate our fleet of 160 buses across Greater Manchester with safety, confidence, and professionalism
- Provide exceptional customer service—helping passengers of all ages and backgrounds feel safe, welcome, and respected
- Work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and a 5-day rota (6-day workweek)
- Enjoy ongoing CPC training and professional development to ensure continuous improvement

What You’ll Need
- At least 18 years old
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Right to work in the UK (minimum 183 days in the UK as required by DVLA)
- A safe, patient, and courteous driving attitude
- A friendly, approachable nature – you’ll be the face of Stagecoach
- A passion for customer service and making a difference in people’s daily lives
- A willingness to learn and be part of a supportive team
