About the Role
Sage Associates is hiring a Trainee Business Manager to join their fast-growing Birmingham City Centre team. This is a hands-on development opportunity for ambitious candidates eager to kickstart a career in business, leadership, sales strategy, and people management. Structure training and clear progression are built into the role from day one—no prior management experience is required.
Ideal for Birmingham or West Midlands-based professionals with strong communication skills, confidence, drive, and a hunger to learn, this role gives you the chance to gain real commercial experience while developing into a management role within 6–12 months (based on performance and consistency).
What You’ll Do
This isn’t a passive role—you’ll be involved in every aspect of how a growing commercial team operates. Your work will span:
- Business development & customer acquisition
- Sales strategy & campaign performance tracking
- Team leadership & support (coaching junior team members or clients)
- Client-facing work (presentations, negotiations, brand representation)
- Performance management (setting goals and driving accountability)
- Daily operations (managing projects, deadlines, and team workflows)
