The Role
Are you looking to start a rewarding career in butchery? At Sofina Foods, we are offering an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn, develop practical skills, and build a long-term career within the food manufacturing industry.
As a Trainee Butcher, you will become a key member of our production team at our Cookstown pork processing facility. Full training will be provided as you gain hands-on experience across a variety of departments, including main butchery, slaughter, primal and middle debone.
This role is ideal for candidates with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills.
We are also seeking Production Operatives to join our team. If you are hardworking, reliable, and looking for a career in food production, we would love to hear from you.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Trainee Butcher, you will:
- Learn and develop butchery skills through hands-on training and mentoring
- Support meat preparation tasks across multiple production areas
- Follow strict hygiene, quality, and safety standards
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets
- Embrace continuous improvement in all aspects of your work
