About Us
We provide Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) designs for urban & rural roads, in addition to dual carriageway & motorways anywhere in the UK using the latest industry software.
As well as specialising in TTM design, we also provide Vehicle Swept Path Analysis, Consultancy, RRRAP Assessments, BIM/ 3D design and traffic modelling.
About The Role Of Trainee CAD Designer
As a Trainee Temporary Traffic Management Designer, you will use an array of the latest software available in the industry, to the highest level from 2D street works to 3D BIM designs on high-speed dual carriageways.

Duties
- You will be responsible for designing these projects in line with regulations and reporting to our Design supervisor.
- Developing an understanding of the sector through observation and working closely with your mentor
- Producing and designing scaled and schematic temporary traffic management drawings
- Assisting with design modifications to facilitate operations
- Making sure all temporary traffic management drawings are in accordance with guidelines
- Ensuring all paperwork is up to date
- Maintaining CAD models, drawings and associated files
- Working with Lead Designers to improve skills in BricsCAD and learning how to keep a consistent high standard of final presentation of temporary traffic management drawings
- Receiving continual Health & Safety and Lantra approved training to help develop and keep up to date your knowledge and experience in temporary traffic management
This is a great opportunity to join a successful team, you will be working with talented designers and engineers. Hours of work are 40 per week, between the hours of 7.30am – 16.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Essential Attributes For a Trainee CAD Designer
- Driving license or taking driving lessons – road knowledge/ awareness is paramount, and you will be required to travel as part of your placement
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent level of written and spoken English
- Interest in AutoCad or similar packages
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and colleagues
- High level of accuracy
- Analytical skills
- Creative flair
- Able to generate ideas and put them into practice
- Able to work in a small team and add value by being a team player
