Trainee Commercial Agent/Surveyor

Mava Real Estate are seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist and support the sales and lettings of commercial property across a range of asset classes including office, retail, industrial and mixed-use developments. The role involves delivering high-quality client service through proactive business development, applicant management, market analysis, negotiation and transaction management while ensuring compliance with professional and legal standards.

Responsibilities Undertake market research and analysis of comparable evidence, rental values and market trends to support pricing strategies and client reporting. Assist in the sales, lettings and marketing of properties on behalf of landlords, investors, occupiers and developers. Manage inbound enquiries and proactively follow-up with applicants professionally, maintaining excellent customer service and accurate communication records. Develop and maintain strong client and applicant relationships to generate repeat business and new agency instructions. Assist in lease negotiation and sale transactions to achieve the best outcome for clients. Coordinate transactions from instruction through to completion, liaising with solicitors, surveyors, financial institutions and other stakeholders. Prepare marketing materials including brochures, virtual tours, online listings and social media content to promote available properties. Ensure all property records, client information and transaction data are accurately maintained within internal systems and databases. Manage and monitor compliance documentation including EPCs, AML information, asbestos surveys, insurance details and VAT status. Assist with the preparation of schedules of evidence, deal histories and lease event research using property databases such as CoStar and Nimbus. Support diary management, inspection coordination and administration associated with agency instructions. Contribute to business development initiatives, press releases and professional social media activity to enhance market presence and generate opportunities. Ensure compliance with RICS professional standards, company procedures and relevant legislation.

Criteria Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage negotiations and maintain client relationships professionally. Good understanding of property marketing processes and transaction management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management/database systems. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for inspections and viewings. Experience in Real Estate, Property Management or a related discipline. Experience using CRM systems and property software platforms. Knowledge of commercial lease structures, landlord and tenant matters, and valuation principles. Understanding of compliance requirements including AML regulations and EPC legislation. Experience managing social media or digital marketing within a professional environment.
