Trainee Computer Science Teacher | Bromley
Are you a Computer Science graduate looking to inspire the next generation while building a rewarding career in education? This Trainee Computer Science Teacher opportunity in Bromley offers the chance to train as a qualified teacher through a salaried pathway, earning £29,000 during your training year before progressing onto the Teacher Pay Scale.
Working alongside an experienced Computing department, you'll receive expert mentoring while gradually developing the skills needed to become an outstanding classroom practitioner. You'll support lessons across KS3 and KS4 before taking increasing responsibility for planning, teaching and assessment throughout the academic year.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Gradually planning and delivering lessons with mentor guidance
- Supporting pupils with programming and computational thinking
- Contributing to coding clubs and STEM enrichment
- Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
- Becoming an active member of the wider school community
The successful Trainee Computer Science Teacher will:
- Hold A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) and a BA degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Be passionate about education and technology
- Aspire towards a long-term teaching career
- Be confident, organised and motivated to learn
