Trainee Cut & Crease Operator – Competitive Salary – Deeside, CH5 2NS

Do you have manufacturing experience and a keen eye for detail? Are you ready to learn a skilled machine operation role in a busy production environment?

The role MMP UK is looking for a Trainee Cut & Crease Operator to join the Cut & Crease department.

This is a hands-on training role where you will build the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to safely operate and maintain Cut & Crease machinery. You will also learn how tooling is prepared through the pre-make-ready process.

You will initially work days, before moving onto shift work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn all stages of the Cut & Crease process
  • Prepare tooling for production through the PMR process
  • Support safe and effective machine make-ready
  • Understand how materials, tooling and machine settings affect quality
  • Monitor product quality throughout production
  • Complete production, quality and machine records accurately
  • Keep the department clean, organised and safe
  • Work closely with experienced operators and team members
  • Follow Health & Safety legislation and company policies
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by management

The person We are looking for someone who is reliable, keen to learn and comfortable working in a busy production setting. You will need:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • GCSE level education, or equivalent
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Confidence using your own initiative
  • A strong focus on quality, safety and housekeeping
