Are you curious about data, technology and solving complex problems?

We're looking for a Trainee Data Analyst to join our growing Data Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with large datasets, reporting tools and emerging technologies while developing valuable skills within a global financial services environment.

Whether you're a graduate, have completed a relevant internship, or are looking to begin a career in data analytics, we'll provide the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee, you'll help ensure that high-quality data is available to support key business decisions and operational processes. You'll work with colleagues across technology and business teams to:

  • Analyse data from multiple systems and identify trends, issues and opportunities.
  • Create reports, dashboards and visualisations that support decision-making.
  • Maintain and update important business data.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues.
  • Support data cleansing, validation and process improvement activities.
  • Assist with data integration and automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects that use analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver practical solutions.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in your potential, curiosity and willingness to learn.

Essential

  • A genuine interest in data, analytics and technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise and interpret information effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Python for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools.
  • Understanding of data quality and data management principles.

Desirable

  • A degree or qualification in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Experience gained through academic projects, internships, placements or personal learning.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies or machine learning concepts.
  • Basic understanding of databases, data analysis or SQL.
