## **About the Role**
Career laddering into pharmacy tech and team leadership. **No experience required**—full training provided.
As a **Trainee Dispenser**, you’ll join our **pharmacy team**, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient patient care. Your core focus is helping patients with prescription dispensing, medicine advice, and self-care support.
This **in-store role only** offers:
- Guaranteed pathway to become a **Pharmacy Technician** or join store leadership
- Training toward an **NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification**
- Hands-on experience with evolving store technologies (reducing errors, expanding patient time)

## **Your Key Responsibilities**
🔹 **Obtain NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification**
- Trained and assessed in store under supervised pharmacy teams
🔹 **Prescription workflow**
- Order, log, label, and verify medicines (with ** toho obligations**)
- Record dosing, endorsements, repeat prescription visits
- Ensure **GPhC compliance** for safe supply

🔹 Patient-centric care
- Advise and listen to patients on medicine use, adherence, and lifestyle support (refer queries to registered pharmacist)
- Encourage Medicine Management Services (MMS), online repeats, and home delivery options
- Support seasonal campaigns (flu clinics, pharmacy checks, HIV testing)
🔹 Support pharmacy operations
- Maintain quality checks, staff training requirements, and filings
- Use digital systems to log consultations and document medicines use
🔹 Operational compliance
- Follow SOP for pharmacy, POS checkout, and store policies
- Contribute to store updates (e.g. new launch procedures)
- Feed back ideas to continually improve patient flow
What You’ll Need
Essential
- A loyalty to find the best path into pharmacy and complete the NVQ2 training
- Validity for living and working in the UK (Western mail applicants ineligible unless citing prior approved work status)
Helpful
- Prior community pharmacy or healthcare assistant experience (not essential!).
