Trainee Dispenser

Trainee Dispenser – London Locations

Hourly rate: £13.12–£15.10 (dependent on role location)

No prior experience required. Full training will be provided.


About The Opportunity

As a Trainee Dispenser, you’ll become a valued member of our pharmacy team. Working alongside the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering safe, high-quality pharmacy and healthcare services.

Within the store’s healthcare department, you’ll gain hands-on training (including an NVQ2 Dispenser) while:

  • Building meaningful relationships with patients by listening to and addressing their needs
  • Greeting customers, accurately dispensing prescriptions, and ensuring safe medicine sales
  • Providing evidence-based healthcare advice to empower patients in their treatment decisions

This is a store-based role in the UK. Remote or international applicants will only be considered if UK work rights can be verified.


Key Responsibilities

Training

  • Complete your Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme

Prescription Dispensing

  • Safely fulfil prescription requirements (ordering, labelling, dispensation, endorsement, and collection)
  • Maintain compliance with legal and safety standards
  • Manage prescription repeats and promote effective patient adherence

Patient Care

Requirements

Mandatory

  • Desire to learn and commitment to completing the Dispenser NVQ2 qualification
  • Valid UK right to work (visa sponsorship not available for this role)

Preferred (not essential)

  • Any experience in community pharmacy
