Hourly Rate: £13.12 – £15.10 (dependent on location)

About the Opportunity
As a Trainee Dispenser within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team. You’ll support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to:
- Deliver safe and efficient pharmacy and healthcare services
- Build strong relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, from greeting customers to managing their healthcare journey
This in-store role is based in the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from candidates outside the UK will only be pursued if they can confirm relevant UK qualifications and right to work evidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
- Electronically handle prescriptions including:
- Medicine ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for legal and safe medicine supply
- Work with the pharmacy team to manage and deliver pharmacy services
- Provide patient care and advice about medicines, referring complex queries to the Pharmacist
- Keep up to date with new innovations in-store and adhere to operational processes
- Introduce systems and automated processes to improve patient safety and facilitate more focused patient care
- Support patients with repeat prescriptions, adherence and medicine management

This role offers regular training to expand your healthcare knowledge and career development opportunities, including pathways towards becoming a Pharmacy Technician or entering store leadership.
What You’ll Need
Mandatory Requirements
- A desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training (NVQ2)
- Current and valid UK right to work (this role does not provide sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa)
Desirable (But Not Required)
- Experience working in community pharmacy
